I’ve been lucky enough to work with lots of lovely people over the years, and here is what a few of them have to say about me:
Emily managed a number of marketing accounts for Prism Group ranging from commercial businesses to not-for-profit organisations. She was involved in the full range of marketing activities including branding projects, website builds, campaign creation and execution, online advertising and events. Emily dealt with our clients in an organised and efficient manner, and understood the different requirements of each one. She understands the need to monitor and closely manage budgets on behalf of others to ensure value for money and good return on investment.
Emily is an experienced marketing professional and someone that has a keen market perception. At Scout Shops she performed well within limited budgets and demonstrated good awareness to reach figures by precise target marketing. Her strong organisational skills also enable her to take on large projects managing deadlines, budgets and relationships to complete work to a high standard. Emily possesses strong interpersonal skills enabling her to communicate successfully with others, whether they are creative, technical or management figures.
Dave Ross, Business Development Manager, Scout Shops
Emily worked for the British Parking Association for 6 years in a variety of roles from Head of Communications through to Head of Public Affairs and Research. During the time I worked with Emily, she was always “alive with ideas” and the most organised person I have ever known. Emily was responsible for a re-branding of the Association as well as creating and establishing brands and promotional material for the majority of our workstreams. Her energy and vision was impressive from idea stage through to design and execution. I missed her when she left us.
Emily is a thoroughly likeable person, sensitive and committed to all that she does. Whilst at the BPA she successfully managed the BPA Communications and Marketing portfolio and contributed to raising the profile of the organisation.
Emily is efficient, self-motivated and readily able to engage others which help make her marketing plans grounded in terms of audience, budget and media. Her positive and collaborative approach to her work alongside her skills, knowledge and her continued willingness to expand her experience through her varied career and personal study made Emily a much valued colleague for the 5 years we worked together. I have since happily recommended her to friends and family members who have benefited from her expertise while they’ve been working hard to get their new businesses (with very limited budgets) up and running.

I worked with Emily while she was employed by the British Parking Association – firstly in her role as Communications Manager and then as Head of Communications. All I can say is that she was one of the most switched-on people I have worked with. We were both involved with the monthly publication of the BPA’s magazine – a process that often called for quick thinking, last minute changes, and excellent communication with a variety of stakeholders – and Emily never failed to deliver on all counts. Whether it was working with the CEO of a national or international company or a single civil enforcement officer, Emily was able to grasp the situation immediately and make a reasoned decision or call to action. I think that an ability to grasp the intricacies of an often complex area is one of Emily’s biggest strengths, and confidence in her ability to always provide an appropriate and professional response is something that people who work with her deeply appreciate.
I worked with Emily at Psychology Press and Routledge. We both began as Marketing Assistants and were both Marketing Managers by the time Emily moved on. I worked closely with Emily for several years and I was grateful to have such a trusted colleague. Emily is a very competent and creative marketer. She is conscientious and reliable. She has a calm approach and gets on easily with people at all levels. I am more than happy to recommend Emily.
I have known Emily ever since she came to work at the academic publishing company, Psychology Press (later taken over by Taylor & Francis) in 1997. Emily was a first class employee – self-motivated, hardworking and conscientious with a friendly disposition. She was employed initially as a Marketing Assistant and was promoted to Marketing Executive and then, finally, to Marketing Manager with responsibility for the Guilford imprint. Emily has a flair for marketing and would be an asset to any organisation who employed her in that capacity.
